French midfielder Paul Pogba has recently been tipped with a switch to Spanish heavyweights Barcelona after reports emerged courtesy of Football Italia that the 23-year-old bought property in the Catalonia capital.
The Juventus midfielder’s real estate agency Proto Group Ltd were quick to squash claims that this was a stepping-stone to a Camp Nou switch, insisting that this move was a “purely an estate investment” that was “no way related to footballing matters”.
However, the former Manchester United starlet himself has now taken the time to rubbish these claims, taking to Twitter to deny the reports after being asked about it by a Bianconeri fan.
“You bought a house in Barcelona? Paul, don’t leave. You still have so many years with us,” wrote a man on Facebook. Pogba responded: “No house, it’s made up.”
Interest in the Juve superstar is sky-high, as the French ace is being chased by several of Europe’s elite clubs after guiding The Old Lady to a 5th consecutive Serie A title. This comes as little surprise, given that he has proved he is talented time and time again, recently bagging a wonder assist for the national side.
Although the issue of his future is yet to be fully resolved, one thing is for sure: Pogba will excite the crowd when Les Bleus kick start their Euro 2016 campaign.
