The Real Madrid defender had the last laugh, as he got back at the Barca center-back.

Given that Alvaro Arbeloa is set to leave Real Madrid this summer, one could easily expect his long-standing beef with Barcelona defender Gerard Pique to end.  Nonetheless, the Spanish defender got back at the Blaugrana man – for possibly the very last time – during the Champions League celebration.

Les Merengues recently won an unprecedented 11th Champions League title after beating Atletico on penalties, before returning to the Spanish capital as heroes in front of their supporters. With the club celebrating, Arbeloa took the opportunity to mock his countryman.

Whilst at Santiago Bernabeu, the 33-year-old grabbed a microphone and entertained the fans with a joke, saying: “I don’t know who this started with, but I know who it is thanks to. It’s thanks to you.” Watch in the video below.

Of course, the former Liverpool man was referring to comments made by Pique during their treble celebrations in which he said “Kevin Roldan, it all started with you!” in reference to a birthday party held by Cristiano Ronaldo which the singer attended.

The Blaugrana center-back recently trolled Cristiano during the Catalan giants’ open-top bus parade of their Liga BBVA triumph. As he seems to love making a mockery of Real Madrid and their players, one could easily expect him to respond to Arbeloa in similar fashion.
