Aston Villa welcomes Newcastle United this Saturday to the Villa Park for the 37th matchday of the English Premier League.

After their 3-2 defeat to Watford last weekend, the Lions are hoping to brush off their loss in order to secure a win at home. Already-regelated Aston Villa are on an 11-game losing streak with only 16 points, as they go head to head with 17th place contenders Newcastle United (33). Regardless of their awful position on the Premier League table, Eric Black’s men wish to end their remaining games on a positive note, as the first step would be to conquer Rafa’s men on Saturday.

The Toons will come into this match with complete focus, as they must walk out of Villa Park victorious to stay out of the relegation zone. Newcastle United aim to continue their momentum after beating Crystal Palace 1-0 which lifted them out of the bottom three, but if the away side wishes to survive the league, then they must snatch three points from Eric Black’s lads.

Team news - who's fit and who's not?

The home side have not been struggling with many injuries this season, as they will only be without two of their players when they face Newcastle United. Left winger Kieran Richardson(calf) and youngster Jordan Amavi (ACL knee) are set to miss this league fixture.

Things don’t look so positive for the visitors, as they will be missing captain, Fabricio Coloccini (calf) and full-back, Daryl Janmaat (groin). Goalkeepers Tim Krul and Rob Elliot (both knee), as well as defenders Massadio Haidara (knee) and Steven Taylor (muscle strain) will also miss Saturday’s clash due to their ongoing injuries.
