The wingman from Ecuador came on the pitch four minutes before his skillful play that led América's comeback against Tigres. Las Águilas will represent CONCACAF in the Club World Cup once more next December.

Just when things seemed to be turning quite ugly for Club América, a famiiar hero stepped up and changed the course of the game to lead Las Águilas to a second straight CONCACAF Champions League title.

With Tigres leading 1-0 after 45 minutes, the team from the North needed one more goal to send the series to extra-time. It wasn't an easy scenario for the hosts, as coach Ignacio Ambriz had most of his best weapons on the pitch, following Darwin Quintero's untimely injury. But all the tactician needed to change the outcome of the series was just next to him

Michael Arroyo, who missed the first leg of the series due to a one match ban, took Dario Benedetto's place in the team's lineup just after one hour of playing time, and four minutes after coming in, he showed off his ball-handling skills, dribbled past four players and sent a thunderbolt inside Nahuel Guzman's net. That was the turning point of the game, as Tigres never fully recovered despite having chances to take the lead again.

Watch: Arroyo's stunner led América's comeback.

Osvaldo Martínez capped the hosts' comeback with a well-placed penalty, giving Club América their seventh-ever CONCACAF title, the most won by any team in the region.

The team celebrated with a post on their Twitter feed.

"Go out and celebrate! We're back-to-back champions! #CONCACAFsGreatest #100YearsOfGreatness"
