Luis Nani scored a Free-kick of the Year contender against Konyaspor in the Turkish Cup.

Former Man United winger Luis Nani scored an insane curler against Konyaspor in the Turkish Cup. The Portugal international curled the ball past the helpless goalkeeper who clearly did not expect the ball to head directly into the net.

Apart from the goal’s beauty, the fact that it was converted from an almost impossible angle makes it even more worth watching. The 28-year-old curled the set piece from the left hand of the pitch and directly into the net. Whilst many players opt to chip the ball over the crowd of heads in the box, Nani chose to go for the net and the result was a brilliant and rare goal. His celebration showed it all.
