Man City are already through to the semis, but Kun wants to see his former side join the Citizens in the last 4.

On Wednesday, two of Spain’s three biggest clubs will face off in the Champions League, with Atletico Madrid gearing up to host Barcelona in the second leg of their quarter final match-up.

Lionel Messi and Co. will make the trip to Vicente Calderon Stadium for the 2nd leg, as they look to defend – or increase – their 2-1 lead from the Camp Nou encounter.

A spot in the semi-finals is at stake for the reigning European champions, as Luis Enrique will be hoping his boys will return to form to overcome Diego Simeone’s crew after a recent bump.

However, La Pulga’s fellow Argentine international Serio Aguero admitted that he is keen on seeing his former side book their spot in the last 4.

Kun is already guaranteed a spot in the semi-finals after Manchester City’s 1-0 victory – 3-2 on aggregate – over PSG on Tuesday, but revealed (as per Marca) that he wishes to see Atletico join the Citizens.

"It will be a good match, I wish them the best of luck," said Aguero.

"Atletico have improved a lot in recent years, I think they can give Barcelona a great game.

"I played for Atletico and hope they do well."

"I'm happy that an Argentine, in Cholo [Diego Simeone], is their coach."

Unfortunately for the home side, they’ll have to overturn the 2-1 deficit without Spanish striker Fernando Torres, a man with a proven goalscoring track record against Barcelona, after picking up a red card in the first leg.
