The rumors linking PSG star Zlatan Ibrahimovic with a move to Old Trafford in the summer have taken a new twist.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is open to a move to England to join Premier League giants Manchester United, as reported by Sky Sports. However, the report suggests that the PSG forward will only move to Old Trafford in the summer if Louis Van Gaal is shown the door. The Dutch tactician has been under fierce criticism this season, most recently on Sunday when the Red Devils went down 3-0 to Spurs in their Premier League fixture at the White Hart Lane. A section of Man United fans singled out the Dutchman for playing Ashley Young as a centre forward.

Zlatan, on the other hand, has been a great friend to former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho. Their friendship dates back to the Serie A when they both plied their trade for Inter Milan. Interestingly, Mou has been seen as the most possible replacement for the former Bayern Munich boss at Old Trafford, hence setting up a reunion with Zlatan.

It should be noted that Zlatan once worked under Van Gaal at Ajax back in 2004 when the 64-year-old was the club’s technical director. However, the relationship between the two did not seem to be worth admiring. In his autobiography called ‘’I am Zlatan’’ the Sweden international described LVG as a ‘’pompous a**’’ who ‘’wanted to be a dictator.’’

Sky Sports further reports that a number of Chinese Super League clubs have also expressed their interest in signing the 34-year-old. One particular deal is rumoured to be around £56 million for two seasons. Earlier in March the bullish forward also confirmed interest from English clubs and said that he was taking his time to review his options. With the numerous offers tabled, one thing is quite clear; Zlatan will not be without a club when his contract with PSG expires in the summer.
