This fixture involves two giants who have two different interests this season. The hosts are eyeing the Premier League title and have been handed a huge boost as a result of Arsenal’s 3-3 draw with West Ham United on Saturday.

A win for Spurs will take them four points behind league leaders Leicester City who face Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on Sunday. After registering a one-all draw with Liverpool in their last Premier League fixture, Mauricio Pochettino’s men know very well that any other result apart from a win could blow their title hopes away. Things could get even worse if Spurs lose to the Red Devils, and The Foxes collect maximum points at the Stadium of light. To avoid such possibilities, the London club is expected to come out with all guns blazing against the visitors.

Talking of the visitors, Louis Van Gaal’s men sit at the 5th position on the league table, and their main interest is the Champions League spot. A win for the visitors will take them one point behind fourth-placed Manchester City, who beat West Bromwich Albion 2-1 on Saturday to extend their stay at the fourth spot.

LVG’s men are hoping to pile more pressure on the top four teams while hoping that one of them falls off the pack. Thus, they have to win all their remaining games in the league, starting with the trip to the White Hart Lane.

The Old Trafford outfit has quite an impressive record against Spurs; out of their last 33 games in all competitions, Man United have not lost 31 of them. Interestingly, Pochettino’s men have drawn their last three home games against Man United in all competitions.

Man Utd also boasts of one of the most solid defences in the league. Despite the availability of lethal forwards such as Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen at Spurs, Van Gaal’s men have not conceded in the past three meetings between the two sides in all competitions.

Spurs also have their own fair share of impressive league record; they are undefeated in 10 of their last 11 Premier League games, and have scored at least twice in their last three home matches in the league. Considering the fact that this could be their last chance to keep up with the league leaders, the hosts could dominate the game on Sunday and finally manage to crack Man United’s defence.
