Chelsea will miss the services of five of their key players during their trip to the Liberty Stadium to face Swansea.

Stand-in Chelsea boss Guus Hiddink has provided the latest injury update from The Cobham Training Centre. Speaking to the club’s official website, the Dutch tactician revealed that the Blues will miss the services of first-team starters Nemanja Matic, Eden Hazard, Loic Remy and captain John Terry due to injuries.

Terry was absent last weekend due to an Achilles problem as Chelsea mauled relegation-threatened side Aston Villa 4-0, and is set to miss this weekend’s trip to the Liberty Stadium. On the other hand, Matic was available for selection last weekend but was an unused substitute. The 27-year-old is set to miss Saturday’s clash due to a bruise on his lower leg, but could be available for selection against Manchester City.

Remy suffered a groin injury against Aston Villa and could miss the rest of the season, while Hazard is struggling with a hip problem.

During the interview, Hiddink revealed:

''We have a few injured players so we will bring in some youngsters,

''John Terry is still not available, he has a little problem with his Achilles like last week. He’s been on the training pitch, doing his exercises, but he’s not fully recovered. Costa is out (suspended), as you know, Hazard is out, Matic will be out and Remy is out. Nevertheless we will bring in some youngsters as we did last week.''

He then added:

''I don’t know when he [Remy] will be recovered. It’s a groin problem but it will last. When you have that problem you cannot train properly

''We’ll see this afternoon [on Cahill], we’ll do a test to see if he’s fit. It’s a bit of a tendon problem in his hip. He trained yesterday and we’ll see how he reacts to what was an intense session.''

To make things even worse for the Premier League giants, their key forward Diego Costa will miss the game against the Swans as he serves the final match of his two-game suspension. The former Atletico Madrid man was banned for two games for his unsportsmanship during the FA Cup tie versus Everton last month.
