Match-day 1’s two winners in Group H, Olympiakos and Arsenal, will affront themselves on Tuesday in the second round of the UEFA Champions League.

Both teams are locked on top of the table with the same number of points and goal difference.

Lucky & Lucky – Arsenal and Olympiakos clash to create thrill

These two teams struggled to clinch victories a fortnight ago in their respective games. Arsenal had to come back from two goals down to win by three goals to two. However, the Gunners’ victory was controversial as cameras showed that Vermaleen’s second half equalizer was clearly offside.

Some kind of luck there played its part; the referees accepted the goal and quickly after that, Eduardo (who was finally cleared to play in Europe) found the winner.

Meanwhile, the Greeks picked up all the three points at right at the death of the game when Vassilis Torosidis headed the ball home against AZ Alkmaar.

On Tuesday night, these two lucky sides – Arsenal and Olympiakos – will meet at the Emirates stadium as the Champions League resumes next week.

The venue may intimidate the Greeks who don’t have as much experience as Arsenal in Europe. Still, Olympiakos could be strong enough to create problems to Arsene Wenger’s youthful side.

Dominating in possession and in play will be the key for Olympiakos who are now being managed by the Brazilian Zico.

Being aware of the Olympiakos’ threat, Arsene Wenger might ask his boys to stick to their mesmerizing passing game which is very difficult to break.

Arsenal will count on Thomas Vermaleen and William Gallas at the back to do the job. Upfront, Van Persie and Eduardo are expected to terrorize the Greek’s defense with exquisite shots on goal.

A draw will keep both teams above the rest in Group H regardless of the other result on that night. Anything else will definitely ease one’s way out and leave the other with some job to do the next time around.
