What started as an honest confession became a laughing point for Wayne Rooney on Twitter.

Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney was the subject of ridicule on social media after revealing that his son wanted an England shirt with Jamie Vardy’s name at the back. The 30-year-old was speaking as a pundit on ITV, moments before the England vs Netherlands game. He was flanked by former England internationals Lee Dixon and Ian Wright at the punditry corner.
