Real Madrid star Mesut Oezil stands a great chance of featuring in Germany’s Euro 2012 qualifying match against Kazakhstan on Tuesday night, according to reports.
The striker had picked up bruises on his ankle and on his knee and was eventually marked as doubtful for the DFB Eleven’s upcoming fixture. However, Coach Joachim Lowe always remained positive about Oezil’s situation as the player expressed his optimism as well to Kicker, stating:

“I believe in the excellent treatment provided by our national team’s doctors and physiotherapists. I hope I’ll be fit because I want to play.”

On Monday night indeed, Mesut Oezil inject some relief within the German squad as he featured in a training session in the late hours of the day – Bild reported.

Germany’s Oliver Bierhoff also came out to affirm this news as he explained to the media:

“Mesut has completed the training session. He still feels some mild pain, but the coach will talk to him [on Tuesday] to see how it looks.”

Germany have already scored 10 goals in 3 matches with Oezil being the author of one of these 10 goals. The Germans are poised to record their 4th victory in their Euro 2012 qualifying campaign, whether Oezil plays or not.
