Paris Saint Germain are the 2015/16 Ligue 1 Champions after humiliating Troyes 9-0 on Sunday.

French Lique 1 giants Paris Saint Germain have successfully defended the league title for the fourth time in a row after thumping Troyes 9-0.

The Parisians have now opened a 25-point gap between them and second-placed Monaco. With eight games to go, runners-up cannot achieve more than 24 points should they win all their remaining fixtures. As a result, Laurent Blanc’s men will still be declared champions even if they lose all their remaining fixtures.PSG are the 2015/16 Ligue 1 Champions

The French giants showed their intentions of winning the domestic title right from the beginning of the game at Stade de l'Aube. Edison Cavani opened the flood gates of goals as early as the 14th minute of the game and Javier Pastore added the second four minutes later. One more goal from Adrien Rabiot took the visitors to the break leading by three goals but were far from over.

In the second half, Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored in the 46th, 53rd and 56th minute respectively to earn himself a perfect and memorable hat-trick within a span of nine minutes. Probably out of the endless pressure mounted by the visitors, Mathiew Saunier scored an own goal to give PSG a 7-0 lead by the 59th minute. Cavani then reappeared on the score sheet in the 75th minute, and Zlatan drew the last nail into Troyes’ coffin with one minute to go.
