Premier League giants Manchester City travel to Carrow Road to face Norwich City for their Premier League fixture on Saturday.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side sits at the fourth position on the Premier League table with 50 points, 10 behind league leaders Leicester City. A win for the Sky Blues will bridge the gap between them at the three teams above them namely Leicester City, Spurs and Arsenal. It will the their biggest hope that the top three teams above them on the log will drop points in their respective fixtures in order to revive the Citizen’s hopes of contesting for the league title this season.

Luckily enough for the visitors, they come into this fixture as the favorities thanks to the availability of tormentor-in-chief, Sergio Aguero. The Argentine has been terrorizing the Canaries’ defence in each of their previous meetings and will be hoping to continue with the impressive run this weekend.

Norwich City come into this fixture with serious injury concerns; Steven Naismith and Robbie Brady were both substituted during the 1-0 defeat in the hands of Swansea City last weekend. Robbie is said to be nursing a calf injury while Naismith picked up a hamstring problem.

However, the hosts will be buoyed by the fact that Andre Wisdom and Sebastien Bassong are on their way to full recovery from injuries, but Alex Tetty has been ruled out for the rest of the season.

On the other side of the pitch, City are set to welcome their key forward Kevin de Bruyne, but he may not feature in the game at Carrow Road. He could be rested in order to give him enough time to recover fully. Samir Nasri is also on his way to recovery but just like De Bruyne, he may be rested at the weekend.

Manchester City have already played at the Carrow Road this season during their 3-0 win over Norwich City in the third round of the FA Cup. Interestingly, the Citizens have not lost any of their last five trips to Carrow Road and will be hoping to extend the impressive record to a six-match unbeaten run in all competitions.

Chief tormentor Sergio Aguero could be Man City’s key man ahead of this match, having scored 15 goals from 27 shots on target in his last 14 league games for his side. Take this impressive record and add it to the fact that the hosts have only won one of their last 13 Premier League games against the Citizens, and you will discover that the visitors have a higher chance of winning on this ground this weekend. But can the hosts pull a surprise win at their backyard to effectively rule Man City out of this season’s title race, that uncertainty explains why you need to watch this fixture.
