Once again, Mesut Özil disappointed Arsenal fans by "disappearing" during an important match. The German international wasn't able to work his magic against Barcelona, earning lots of criticism by fans and experts.
Arsenal had a couple of chances of changing the game's outcome prior to Lionel Messi's first goal against Petr Cech, and just when the Gunners needed one of their key performers to emerge, Özil was nowhere to be found.
The former Real Madrid player finally made an appearance before the game concluded, as he tackled Dani Alves a bit harshly. The Brazilian defender yelled back at Özil, who seemed ready to see things escalate.

Of course, a number of fans from other EPL sides had a field day trolling Özil's baffling performance. Have a look at what they had to say.
