Club América, Querétaro, Santos and Tigres will battle Seattle Sounders, DC United, LA Galaxy and Real Salt Lake for a place in the semi-finals

CONCACAF's supremacy will be determined once again by Mexican and American teams, as the CONCACAF Champions League Quarter finals kick off on Tuesday.

Liga MX teams have dominated this tournament since 2006, since no team away from Mexico has been able to win the coveted trophy and earn a bid in the Club World Cup. This time, four of MLS' finest sides will try to end the Mexican's supremacy, a task easier said than done, considering the soccer season in the U.S. starts in the next few weeks.

Here's a quick glance at all of the Quarter-final series.

Querétaro vs DC United

The Clausura 2015 runners up couldn't have arrived in a worse moment to face DC United. Coach Victor Manuel Vucetich hasn't been able to find a suitable Starting XI in this tournament, and the team is struggling to leave the lower part of the standings. On the other hand, DC United's solid teamwork under coach Ben Olsen could be just what they need to defeat Gallos Blancos, a team that hasn't recovered from Ronaldinho's departure eight months ago.

Seattle Sounders vs Club América

CenturyLink Field will host the current CCL champion, Club América. The yellow-and-blue side has shown improvement during the past few weeks, although their latest league game left them with a couple of absences for this game: Goalkeeper Moisés Muñoz will miss this match due to an eye problem, while striker Dario Benedetto will have to sit this one out after picking up a calf injury last Saturday. The hosts will rely on what their experienced international strikers can do up front to help them, as American forward Clint Dempsey and Paraguayan ace Nelson Haedo will try to make their presence felt against Las Águilas, a team that will want to celebrate its 100th "birthday" with another regional title.

Tigres UANL vs Real Salt Lake

The current Liga MX champions have to be considered as the top candidate to win this tournament, considering the superb squad they've registered to play. It is yet to be seen if French striker Andre-Pierre Gignac can work his magic against RSL, where coach Jeff Cassar will try to prove his team is ready to put up some good performances to erase a truly forgettable season for the Claret and Cobalt.

LA Galaxy vs Santos Laguna

Bruce Arena will battle once more against a Mexican-based team, just like when he led the Stars and Stripes against El Tri. This time, with the help of an insider such as Giovani Dos Santos, the Galacticos will try to take to school a talented but yet unexperienced Santos Laguna team. Los Laguneros have shown a bit of improvement under new coach Luis Zubeldía, but it is yet to be seen if they can step up to the challenge and defeat a team featuring Steven Gerrard, Ashley Cole, Robbie Keane and El Tri superstar Giovani Dos Santos.

The second leg of each series will be celebrated next week. Stay tuned with LiveSoccerTV.com for updates and details about these games.
