A new poll conducted at the Santiago Bernabeu has provided some surprising findings.

The shocking results were revealed by Cadena Ser journalist Jesus Gallego after allegedley interviewing different fans at the Santiago Bernabeu. According to the renowned journalist, 80 percent of Los Blancos fans confessed that they would swap Ronaldo for Neymar as of today.

The Brazil international has been in sensational form for The Blaugrana this season, and is widely seen as Lionel Messi’s successor at the Nou Camp. At only 24 years old, seven years younger than Ronaldo, Neymar has scored 17 goals for Luis Enrique’s men this season in La Liga. He is also the player with the most assists this season (9) in La Liga.

On the other hand, the Portugal international has scored 21 La Liga goals this season and provided eight assists, but despite all that, he has been criticized severally for failing to shine against ‘big’ teams.

For instance, while Neymar was on target in last year’s El Clasico at the Santiago Bernabeu when Barca thrashed their bitter rivals 4-0, Ronaldo was conspicuously silent on the pitch. He has equally failed to prove his sharpness in front of goal against European giants such as Paris St-Germain, Valencia and Sevilla.

Neymar vs Ronaldo head to head this season

The former Santos man has made 29 appearances for Barcelona this season in all competitions, scored 22 goals and provided 17 assists. On the other hand, the former Man United winger has made 32 appearances for Los Blancos in all competitions this season, scored 30 goals and provided 11 assists.

But is Ronaldo really a small-team bully as some fans and pundits claim? The AS Roma vs Real Madrid UEFA Champions League last 16 match could have all the answers.
