However, no fairytale ending awaits the Brazilian attacking midfielder, as Reds boss Jurgen Klopp revealed that there will be no more additions before the 23:00 GMT deadline, as the transfer window moves into its final hours.
The Merseyside giants looked favorites to land Teixeira, with 22 goals in 15 appearances in the Ukrainian Premier League, having fended off competition from rivals Chelsea.

Speaking at a news conference, the German boss said: "I am not sure what would be best for the journalists out here.
"I could say that something might happen or I can say the truth, which is that there will not be any incoming transfers. You can finish work for the day.
"The players returning from injury are our new signings."

With Spanish full-back Luis Enrique tipped with a return to Liverpool, Klopp failed to rule out January exits, adding: "I am not 100 per cent sure about outgoing transfers."
