Things were not easy for Liverpool, but the Reds finally found what was necessary to reach another final match.
Jürgen Klopp's men needed to take penalties to seal their trip to Wembley, as Simon Mignolet emerged as the hero of the day, saving a couple of shots to give Liverpool a place in the title game.
Marko Arnautovic cancelled Liverpool's first leg advantage with a late first-half goal that seemed to have been scored in offside position. Klopp escaped from being sent off after offering the linesman his new glasses, but the officer did not report this conduct and the German coach stayed on the sidelines.
Klopp offered his glasses to the linesman the only positive good thing in lfc is this amazing man https://t.co/zmuztEWj9V

With both teams being unable to score the game winning goal even after extra time, Mignolet's antics on goal made him the hero, stopping two shots and giving Joe Allen the chance to drill the deciding shot into the back of the net.
Of course, fans, experts and former footballers did not overlook Mignolet's performance as well as Klopp's influence on the team. Check out what they had to say about Liverpool making it to Wembley.

Mignolet gets a lot of stick and a fair bit of it well deserved but the save from Muniesa was absolutely outstanding.

Jürgen Klopp's been in charge for 5 months and he's already reached a cup final. I love that man.

Interesting how Jurgen Klopp has took a Brendan Rodgers team to a cup final when Brendan Rogers couldn't take a Brendan Rodgers team to one.
