Former Barcelona wingman Pedro has been linked with a move back to Spain after failing to impress with The Blues this season.

Just six months after signing a deal with Chelsea, Spanish international Pedro could be packing to go back home.

The 28-year-old wingman has failed to impress with the current Premier League champions, scoring three goals in 24 games for the Blues. Sources indicate the player could be very interested in returning to his home country, but he would not do that with his former club, Barcelona.

Reports from Spain suggest that Villarreal and Valencia are the two teams interested in signing Pedro, but no official bid has been made to sign the player that gave Barcelona their most recent Super Cup title with an overtime goal back in August.

Like most of Chelsea's players, Pedro's form has been below what fans expected.

Chelsea's interim coach Guus Hiddink doesn't want to part ways with the player, but the team's front office would not frown if the player can leave the club in the summer. Furthermore, having played official games with Barcelona and Chelsea, Pedro wouldn't be allowed to sign and play for another team since FIFA forbids a player to perform for three different teams in a single season.
