The rumors surrounding Neymar's possible move to Real Madrid do not seem to end anytime soon.

It is now emerging that Barcelona star Neymar Jr held a secret meeting with Real Madrid in Zurich during the 2015 Ballon d’Or gala, according to Spanish outlet Onda Cero.

The outlet claims that the Brazil international together with his father and agent Wagner Ribeiro and Andre Cury, met with Los Blancos lawyers in Zurich, where a possible transfer from Camp Nou to the Santiago Bernabeu was discussed.

Many fingers have consequently pointed towards Ribeiro’s side, who is believed to be a close associate with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez. However, there is a new twist to the story; Neymar is reportedly pushing for an increased salary at the Camp Nou, and has no interest in joining their rivals Real Madrid.

Spanish newspaper, Sport, has previously revealed Real Madrid's interest in the 23-year-old striker:Neymar to Real Madrid as reported by Sport

It is for the same reason that he is allegedly using Real Madrid’s interest in him as bait in order to push for a better deal with the Catalans. Last summer, Barcelona defender Dani Alves was widely linked with a move to Manchester United, only to end up signing a new improved deal with the Spanish giants, something that Neymar is hoping to achieve.

Initially, Neymar was on his way to join Zinedine Zidane’s side but club chief Perez ruled out the transfer due to the huge asking fee by his former club Santos.

That is when their rivals, Barca, grabbed the opportunity to lure him to the Nou Camp. After his sterling performances for Blaugrana, Real Madrid are now willing to spend huge to have his signature, something that they could easily get had they agreed terms with the Brazilian outfit early enough.
