ONE World Sports, America’s Network for Global Sports, today announced a multi-year, multiplatform agreement for exclusive carriage of Juventus TV (JTV).

JTV is the club channel of Juventus Football Club S.p.A., the storied Italian soccer dynasty that is a cornerstone of Italy’s top-flight Serie A first soccer division. Juventus secured their ninth straight Serie A win yesterday in a 2-1 defeat of Sampdoria.

ONE World Sports will air exclusive first-runs of complementary programming including pre- and post-game analysis, player interviews and profiles as well as encore presentations of matches. Juventus’ first appearance on ONE World Sports will be on January 12 at 6:30 PM against U.C. Sampdoria.

“ONE World Sports partnership with Juventus, one of Italy’s most storied clubs, is another clear indicator of our intention to align with the top sports clubs around the world to provide the highest quality and most diverse programming to our viewers,” said Joel Feld, ONE World Sports Executive Vice President of Programming & Production. “The exclusive, behind-the-scenes action provided by JTV, coupled with the action on the pitch, allows fans to build an affinity for the players and a connection to Juventus as a whole.”

Turin-based Juventus is Italy’s third-oldest professional soccer franchise.  The team contributed five players to Italy’s victorious 2006 FIFA World Cup team and is the only Italian club that has contributed players to every Italian national team since the second World Cup. Juventus has been a strong competitor for the past two seasons. In 2013-2014, it won a third consecutive league championship – known as a scudetto -- with a record 102 points. The title was the 30th official league championship in the club's history. The team also reached the semi-finals in 2013–14 UEFA Europa League competition. For 2014–15, Juventus won its 31st – and fourth consecutive -- scudetto, and its 10th Coppa Italia (Italian Cup). The team also defeated Real Madrid in the semi-finals of the 2014–15 UEFA Champions League, later going down in the final to Barcelona.
