It wasn't a brilliant win for Arsenal, but winning three points against a worthy opponent as Newcastle have to be celebrated. With their victory against the Magpies, Arsenal leads the Premier League standings for the first time this season, and coach Wenger knows the team needs to build upon these complicated games that end up with them as the winners.
"I think it's very important not to drop points with the way we played today. It helps the team as well because you go through moments where you don’t play well. The memory of having done that before and still having won the game, helps you to hang on sometimes," Wenger stated.
Petr Cech, crowned as Arsenal's Man of the Match, stole all the praises for his magnificent saves, as the following tweets reflect.
