Manchester United are reportedly preparing a huge bid for a Real Madrid star, who is reportedly unhappy at the Spanish club.

According to The Sun, The Red Devils are willing to spend as much as £71 million to secure the signature of Jamez Rodriguez. Real Madrid reportedly spent £71 million for the Colombian youngster and the English giants are allegedly willing to part with the same amount or even more to have him cross over to Old Trafford in January.

The 24-year-old is reportedly unhappy at the Santiago Bernabeu, having fallen out of the favour of manager Rafael Benitez. Man Utd are said to be taking advantage of this assumption to lure the player, who was the talk of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Manchester United’s vice-chairman Ed Woodward and his crew are now preparing to sharpen the team’s attacking unit in January after a disappointing outing that has seen them go eight matches without a win in all competitions. Currently, Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney are the top strikers at the North West club but the duo have failed to steer their side to crucial wins.

Meanwhile, the 20-time Premier League champions have also been linked with a big-money move for Lazio forward Felipe Anderson, and are reportedly preparing a £45 million bid for the Brazil international.
