The legendary striker ran into the Blaugranas' U-12 team during the La Liga promises tournament in Miami, where the curious incident took place.

A curious but shameful incident happened in Miami involving legendary Real Madrid striker Raúl and Barcelona's Under 12 team.

During a dinner to celebrate the start of the 20th La Liga promises tournament,  the former all-time top scorer for Los Blancos was presented as the guest of honor. The ex-footballer went on and introduced himself with every team present in the hall, but Barcelona's kids were dragged away from the dinner.

Raúl, noticing they were being led away, rushed to meet the kids, and while some youngsters shook hands with him, the striker suggested to have their picture taken together. However, one of Barcelona's coaches in charge of the team did not allow it, claiming the kids were "too tired".

This situation went all the way up to Javier Tebas, La Liga's president. The exec spoke to one of Barcelona's officers in charge of the team and asked him to take matters into his own hands.

Apparently, Tebas' remarks had an immediate impact with the team playing the tournament in Miami, since the youngsters were once again met by Raúl after their victory against Crystal Palace for them to have a snapshot taken.
