Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid are planning to raid Camp Nou and sign one of Barcelona’s biggest stars.

According to Sport, Los Blancos president Florentino Perez is reportedly obsessed with Neymar and is willing to facilitate a big-money move for the Brazilian. The Ballon d'Or nominee is one of the most wanted footballers in different leagues across the world, with English Premier League giants Manchester United being one of them. The former Santos man has a contract with the Catalans that lasts up to 2018 but their bitter rivals Madrid are willing to do anything they can to lure him to the Santiago Bernabeu.

The latest reports from Spain suggest that after finding it almost impossible to initiate a one-on-one talk with the superstar, club president Perez has now approached the youngster’s father. He is reportedly trying to convince him to advise his son to sign for Los Blancos.

If the deal goes through, Neymar will be the first star player to have crossed from Barca to Madrid since Luis Figo in 2000. Figo’s £37.2 million move to the Santiago Bernabeu created even greater animosity among fans of the two clubs and Neymar’s rumors is set to create further division.

Figo then helped Madrid win the La Liga twice and the Champions League once.

Neymar had been linked with a move to Madrid before the Blaugrana stepped in. The 23-year-old has scored 14 goals in 13 La Liga appearances for his club this season and he does not seem to be interested in switching his allegiance.
