The French striker was key to the Gunners' win by scoring all three goals for the English side, getting a rather unlikely spot in the Champions League Round of 16.

Just when things seemed to be quite uphill for Arsenal, one of their most trolled elements came through for them when they needed him the most.

French striker Olivier Giroud sent the ball into the back of the net three times to help Wenger's crew save face against Olympiakos, qualifying them for the Champions League knockout stage. It was the first hat-trick for Giroud since joining Arsenal, and he wrote his name into the team's record books, becoming the fourth Gunner to score a Champions League hat-trick behind Thierry Henry, Nicklas Bendtner and Danny Welbeck.

Bayern Munich had already claimed the Group's top spot, but Arsenal managed to join them in the next round despite a sloppy start of the tournament and a baffling loss against the Bavarian. On the other hand, the Greek champions will be playing in the UEFA Europa League after finishing third.

Here's how fans celebrated Giroud's historical night with the Gunners.
