The Belgian goalie was able to recover from a knee injury after ten weeks, dismissing claims about a possible comeback until January.

Jose Mourinho will start the last month of the year with some good news, as goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois was given the go-ahead to play for the Blues in the upcoming match against Bournemouth. The Belgian shot-stopper, who hasn't been able to play since August, could even start the game facing the recently promoted side, following a 14-match absence.

Back in November, the Belgian international informed his fans about his progress on Twitter, but he remained cautious about his chances of making the team's squad. Fortunately for the team, he could be playing sixteen days after returning to the Blues' training sessions.

Courtois came down with a knee injury prior to the start of the game against Crystal Palace, while performing some warmup exercises. Since then, Asmir Begovic has taken over the team's goalkeeping duties with mixed results, which would make Courtois the team's starter right after recovering.

Sources indicated the player would be out until January, but the 23-year old was able to before the end of the year.
