Depay has been criticized for his bad form after a big start. They both ended up arriving to the hotel in cars.

Memphis Depay can't seem to find a break when it comes to bad luck and bad impressions lately as he and Ryan Giggs did not travel with the team to the hotel prior to their UEFA Champions League game against CSKA Moskva. Things like this do not help Depay who has not been consistent since his arrival with the Red Devils.

When the bus that was transporting Manchester United players arrived to the hotel where they would be spending the hours prior to the game at Old Trafford, Giggs and Depay were not seen. They were spotted moments later coming down of cars and straight into the hotel.

That was not the way it was supposed to happen

Criticism on the 21-year-old striker has been amped up recently as he has failed to score in any of the last six games that he has played in, including two with the Dutch national team. The last time that Depay contributed to the Red Devils scoring account was in a 3-0 win against Sunderland on September 26 at home.

Depay has scored eight goals in the Premier League and one in the Champions League. His scoring drought during the month of October does not seem to worry Louis van Gaal too much. The Dutch manager has faith in his young star and knows that soon things will get better for Depay.

“I have said (Depay) is the greatest talent of his age," Van Gaal said. “But he is also only 21 and that is also an age you cannot expect consistency.

For the Dutch iron, this kind of transition problems were expected. He knows that Depay's success with PSV Eindhoven was no fluke, but that it would take some time to adapt to a different game and a different environment

It's definitely been a struggle for Depay in England and Netherlands

“But I am convinced he is coming back, maybe stronger than before. But we have to give him time, like Anthony Martial," Manchester United's coach

Fans expect the £25m player (Depay) can recover the form he showed in his first games. For now, things are not so bad for the Red Devils as they are in fourth place of the Premier League and in second place of Group B of the Champions League. A quick comeback from Depay could really boost the numbers of the English club.
