Even if he sometimes misses incredible chances in front of goal, Javier Hernández managed to score his 100th goal today with a brace against Roma. "Chicharito" netted a couple of goals before the 20th minute mark to make Leverkusen take the lead while facing the Giallorossi, although Daniele de Rossi cancelled their lead with a brace of his own.
Hernández broke the deadlock via a penalty kick, which he placed to the right of Szczesny's net. Fifteen minutes later, "Chicharito" took advantage of a through ball that left him all alone inside Roma's box. His first shot was denied by the Polish goalkeeper, but he collected the ball and placed it smoothly behind him with his left leg.
Curiously enough, Hernández bagged more goals while playing abroad than the total amount he put together while playing in Mexico. During his stint with Chivas, Chicharito scored 29 goals, but with his next three teams, Hernández has already scored 72 more times. His tally includes 59 goals with Man United, 9 goals with Real Madrid, and four more with Die Werkself.
