Sanchez currently earns £130,000-a-week and Ozil is at £140,000-a-week. Both of their contracts expire in 2018.

Mesut Ozil is currently the highest-paid player in Arsenal and Alexis Sanchez is not too far behind. It seems that things won't last long that way as the Gunners are preparing a deal to make Sanchez the highest-paid player for the north-London team.

Both of their contracts expire in 2018 but the team is not planning on letting them go anywhere. The German midfielder arrived in England in 2013 after a short stint with Real Madrid. One year later, Alexis Sanchez joined him as he left Barcelona trying to get the playing time he wasn't getting with the Spanish giants.

This is more than good news for Arsenal fans

After a successful season for Alexis, he had an even better summer, guiding Chile to its first Copa America title in 99 years. Game after game, the 26-year old Chilean striker is gaining more respect and admiration from the fans at Emirates Stadium.

Alexis was the top-scorer for the team over the past season with 16 goals, ten behind Sergio Aguero who finished in first place with 26. So far, Alexis is still Arsenal's best man forward and tied with other five EPL players in the third spot of the goal-scoring rankings with five.

Alexis is having a strong start to this season

The new deal could be announced within the next few weeks, hopefully before the end of 2015. At this moment, Ozil earns £140,000-a-week and Sanchez is just behind earning £130,000-a-week. Alexis' new contract will have to be considerably better now as Ozil will also be receiving a raise before his contract expires.

Both players are doing great things for their team

Ozil is the player with the most assists for Arsenal so far this season with four, just one behind from what he finished with last season. The Gunners are currently in second place of the Premier League with 16 points, tied with Manchester United and two behind Manchester City. Arsenal's next game is against Watford on the road and opponents are using strange tactics to try and slow him down.
