Iceland has already secured its place in the Euro 2016. Last time they met, Iceland won at home 3-0.

Turkey is responsible for its own destiny for the end of the 2016 Euro Qualifiers. The battle for Group A has been tough and only a play-off spot is left. Iceland has not much to worry about as they know they will be in France next summer.

There are many reasons for Turkey to feel confident about pulling out whatever they need in order to move on and leave Netherlands standing in the way. The Turkish squad has not lost a game at home since the Czech Republic beat them 3-0 12 months ago. In case the direct-match criteria has to be used, Turkey also holds an advantage there, having one draw and one win against Danny Blind's side.

Turkey has a slightly worst offense than Netherlands and a slighltly better defense than the Dutch. They have scored 13 goals and only received nine. Iceland is in another level as they have scored 17 and only allowed five into their net after nine games.

Turkey is two points ahead of the Netherlands. They need a draw to advance, or even losing could work in case the Czech Republic beats Netherlands on the road.

Iceland is also a threat when playing on the road. They have picked up three wins on the road and they don't usually feel the pressure from the opposing fans. They have left three games with a clean sheet and only the Czech Republic has been able to take advantage of their home condition.

The scary part for Turkey is that in their last eight games, they have only beaten Iceland once and lost five. They have a 1-1-1 record when these games are played in Turkish soil. In the end, the home side knows what they have to do in order to advance. Their ticket to the playoffs is in their hands and they would be more than happy to be back in Europe's prime national team competition.
