The former Real Madrid goalkeeper holds no grudge with the Costa Rican after his departure this summer, while adding that Rafa Benitez need more time to show his quality with the team.

Former Real Madrid shot-stopper Iker Casillas is still keeping an eye on his former team-mates.  The Spanish goalkeeper shared his thoughts about Sunday's match between Atletico and Los Blancos, in which his Costa Rican successor between the sticks, Keylor Navas had a massive performance by saving a penalty and clearing a number of shots that threatened the team's unbeaten run.

Casillas showed that he holds no grudge against Navas, revealing that he is not surprised by how well the former Levante shot-stopper has performed this season.

"Keylor's been fantastic so far, he's having a great season. It's not easy to be Real Madrid's goalkeeper, but his experience and skills are proving to be just what the team needed. I hope he keeps up the good work, since his performances will be heavily linked with how well the team does when the season ends," Casillas revealed in an interview.

The legendary Spaniard goalie also spoke about Rafa Benitez's job as Real Madrid's coach. According to Casillas, fans should be patient with the former Liverpool boss, since he believes the team is on the right track.

"I can tell you that the team needs to adapt to his system. As games go by, the team will show what Rafa wants from them, and once the new players get how hard it is to play for Real Madrid, then they will be able to display their skills on the pitch. The team is still under construction, but I believe there will be much to celebrate when the season is over," Casillas added.
