Man City will welcome Newcastle United to the Etihad on Saturday, the 3rd of October in a Premier League encounter. Check the live TV and online streaming broadcast listings for Man City vs Newcastle below.

The Citizens lost their top spot to rivals Man United after suffering a heavy 4-1 defeat at the hands of Tottenham last time out. They will now be hoping to put things right to leapfrog their city rivals to the top spot.

They were against Borussia Monchengladbach last time out, a match the English side won by a 2-1 score line. The Citizens went a goal behind after Stindl opened up the scoring in the 51st minute. Martin Demichelis then scored from a corner and Sergio Aguero settled the match after scoring in injury time.

Man City will be without a host of players including the likes of Yaya Toure and captain Vincent Kompany. French international Samir Nasri will also miss the match due to a hamstring injury whereas Gael Clichy and Fabian Delph have also been ruled out of Saturday's match.

Manager Manuel Pellegrini has lamented upon the injury crisis at the club, but is hopeful of having a nearly fit squad after the international break.

"It is not normal what we have in the last weeks," he said. "Against Sunderland we had 11 players injured. After that we had an average of seven -- eight, seven or six -- so I think it is too much and I hope in this international break most of them will be fit."

Joe Hart was benched for the match against Tottenham, a decision which back fired as deputy goalkeeper Willy Caballero produced a below par performance. However the England number one returned for the Champions League game against Monchengladbach and saved a penalty to guide his side to victory.
Pellegrini has maintained that Hart was not fit enough to face Tottenham but has ensured that he will be restored to the starting eleven during the weekend game.

"I don't think he was able to play against Tottenham after just one day's work and with pain in his back."

"I don't think that was the moment when we had such an important game against Borussia on Wednesday. Now he will return to his normal position in the starting 11."

Newcastle on the other hand have had a disappointing start to the season having managed to pick just three points so far from seven matches. However the Magpies held league leaders Man United and defending Champions Chelsea to draws in their fixtures earlier in the season and Pellegrini is aware of the threat they can pose.

"We face a difficult team, Newcastle, who played very well against Chelsea and they played very well here in Manchester against United," he added.
