Take a look at Man United was the message of the former English goalkeeper to those who wish to see the French manager sacked.

A lot of pressure is on Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, with the club’s recent dip in form sparking the return of the “Wenger Out” boys.

The Gunners, despite pre-season promise, lost their opening English Premier League game 2-0 at home to West Ham, and have been defeated in their last two matches, their Champions League opener, and last Saturday's Chelsea tie.

Some section of the supporters have been calling for an end to Le Prof’s reign at the Emirates, however, Gunners legend David Seaman has warned them to be careful of what they wish for, citing the demise of Manchester United upon Sir Alex Ferguson's retirement as a good reason to opt against calling for the Frenchman’s sacking.

Speaking to Omnisport, the former England goalkeeper said: “The fans are split at the moment. A lot of them want Arsene out, I know that because they tell me.

"But what I say is be careful what you wish for because look what happened to Manchester United.

"It's not always greener on the other side, and I will always be an Arsene Wenger fan because I have worked with him and I know how good he is, and he totally knows what he's doing.

"So for me it's trust in Wenger."

One of the main reasons for the fans frustration with the Arsenal manager was the club’s lack of activity in the 2015 summer transfer window. The north London side, who will lock horns with neighbors Tottenham on Wednesday in the Capital One Cup, only recruited one new player in the form of Petr Cech.

Despite being linked with an array of world-class strikers, Edinson Cavani and Karim Benzema just to nam a few, transfers never materialized, and Arsenal were left with Theo Walcott, Olivier Giroud, and Danny Welbeck as their only options up front.

Seaman, albeit admitting he was left disappointed with the single summer acquisition, claims that the level of quality already at Wenger’s disposal is not one to easily forget, saying:

"It's a great signing, Petr Cech, because it brings quality to the squad, and it brings respect from the other players.

"With that being the only signing, it was a little disappointing, but when you look at the quality of the squad it's still a quality squad.

"He [Wenger] would've wanted to have added to the squad, you've got to try and take care of injuries. "It is hard to deal with, and that's why you have back up in your squad. For me, I would have been more comfortable had he signed a couple of players."
