The Champions League campaign kicks start on Tuesday as Manchester United go against Dutch side PSV upon their return to Europe's top tier competition. The Red Devils were not part of the competition last season but have claimed a return back to the Champions League after finishing fourth last season.

Tuesday's match will also mark Depay's return to a club where he spent almost ten years at. The 21 year old  sealed a move to the theatre of dreams in a £22.3 million move and even though he maintains he has utmost respect for his former club, he asserted that he will celebrate if he manages to score.

“I have been asked that question a lot but it’s still a game and football is an expression, so I will celebrate if I score,” Depay said.

“Obviously I have a lot of respect for PSV but I play for Manchester United now so if I score I will celebrate.”

“Of course it will be special, I played here [almost] 10 years before coming to Manchester United. It will be good to see my old team-mates, it will be interesting,” he added.

The youngster opened his Manchester United account with a brace against Club Brugge in the play-off round but has not enjoyed much luck in the domestic outings. However the 21 year old remains positive that he will hit the ground running once he adapts to the league.

“I learnt so much here, but as the boss says the Premier League is on a different level. I have to learn to improve in the English game. I learnt so much at PSV but it’s different."

“It’s a new experience for me, and I have to improve. I know that.”

It however remains to be seen whether he will be in the starting line-up after being replaced by Ashley Young in the match against Liverpool after a disappointing outing. Young's arrival sparked new life in United's attack and it was the free kick he won which resulted in the first goal for Manchester United.

He will also face competition in the form of young French forward Anthony Martial who announced his arrival to the Premier League in emphatic fashion after scoring a wonder goal in his debut appearance for the club.

PSV on the other hand are undefeated in their last five matches which also includes a 6-0 win over Cambuur last time out.
