What were the biggest summer transfers?

German football clubs are not known to be big spenders, but this year some of them added big names to their rosters during the 2015 Summer Transfer Window. Among the most sensational transfers were Arturo Vidal's arrival at Bayern Munich from Serie A Champions Juventus, while Max Kruse left Wolfsburg to join Schalke 04 during the last day of negotiations.

There were also very expensive deals such as Douglas Costa's €30M switch from Shakhtar Donetsk to Bayern Munich. Copa América Champion with Chile Charles Aranguiz left South American football to join Bayer Leverkusen on a €14.5M deal, while Mexican striker and fan-favorite Javier "Chicharito" Hernández also joined the Werkself from Manchester United on Transfer Deadline Day. Among those who left the Bundesliga is Kevin De Bruyne, who said goodbye to Wolfsburg to join Manchester City after the Sky Blues paid £55M for his services.

What were the biggest managerial changes before the start of the season?

Borussia Dortmund saw Jürgen Klopp's era come to an end, replacing him with Thomas Tuchel. Huup Stevens also left Stuttgart's bench, giving way for Alexander Zorniger, while former Champions League winner Roberto Di Matteo was dismissed by Schalke, hiring André Breitenreiter as their new boss.
