Ricardo Ferretti allowed both players to miss the friendly game against the Caribbean team, but he needs both playersto be available for the Confederations Cup playoff next month.

Ricardo Ferretti will have to prepare today's match against Trinidad & Tobago without two of Mexico's key players. After signing with their new teams this Monday, Javier "Chicharito" Hernández and Jesús Corona could not make themselves available for the game against the Caribbean side, with the new Porto man missing also the game against Argentina.

Even though Ferretti knows that some situations were out of the players' control, he will ask the Mexican Federation to prevent such scenarios, because the team can't afford missing key elements when they face the USMNT next month.

"Chicharito will not play. It would be a serious risk for his health. He just played on Wednesday and got on the plane. Because of their current situation, I gave the OK for both of them, but I won't be as permissive next time. We have a big match coming up, and I need everyone fully fit to play," Ferretti stated.

Hernández signed his contract with Bayer Leverkusen on Monday, and he stayed in Germany until Wednesday, where he played a friendly match against Paderborn. Corona also signed his deal with Porto on Monday, but he had to stay behind to get working permits to play in Ukraine and Israel, since the Dragons will be playing in the UEFA  Champions League.

"Chicharito", who missed the Gold Cup in July due to a broken collarbone, is expected to become El Tri's all-time top scorer, but he will have to wait until the next match against Argentina to increase his tally with Mexico.
