With a win, Wales could clinch their first ticket to a major tournament since 1958. Belgium has won once in three games away from home.

Matchday eight of the Euro Qualifiers begins with two very close games in Group B. Wales, the leader of that group will host Israel that is in third and Cyprus (4th) will host Belgium, the best team in Europe according to FIFA but second in their group.

Wales vs Israel

Gareth Bale's team is just one win away from clinching their ticket to a major tournament for the first time since the 1958 World Cup. With 17 points after seven games, they are the leaders of Group B, just three ahead of Belgium.

The last time that these two teams met, Gareth Bale was the man of the match in a 3-0 victory. Aaron Ramsey scored once and the Real Madrid star did it twice while he also delivered the assist for Ramsey. Israel would end the game with ten players as their goalkeeper Eitan Tibi was sent off with the scoreboard already 2-0.

Wales has not lost any of their games at home, nor those on the road. They have one draw at home and another one on the road with two and three wins respectively. In their last game, they beat Cyprus by the minimum, following the same 1-0 result against Belgium. The team has kept four consecutive clean sheets so far.

Israel comes into this game with the possibility of jumping into second place. The team has 12 points after seven games and is only two behind Belgium. The bad news for them is that they have not beat Belgium in the last five games against one another with a record that includes two draws and three losses.

While playing on the road, things are not so bad for Israel. They have won twice and lost only once. That loss was against Bosnia and Herzegovina, while the victories were against Cyprus and Andorra. They have the second best offense in the group with 14 goals in their account, just behind Belgium (16).

Cyprus vs Belgium

If Belgium really wants to prove the world they are the best team in Europe, they must start by aiming to be the best team in Group B during the Euro Qualifiers. The team is one win away from doing that in case Wales loses its first game of the qualifiers, since they are undefeated at this point.

Belgium has a positive record against their next opponent. In eight games against each other, Belgium has won seven and drawn once. Cyprus has never been able to beat Eden Hazard's team.

Cyprus has only won once in their last seven home qualifiers. The last time they played at home was against Wales (0-1). The team has been pretty solid at scoring goals with 12 so far, the problem is that they have received the same amount after seven games. They have the second worst defense in Group B.

It was in 1995, the only time that Cyprus has been able to score against Belgium in three European Championships. The visiting side has the best offense with sixteen goals in favor and the second best defense with only three goals against in Group B.
