After Kevind De Bruyne left Wolfsburg over the weekend there is one more player following his footsteps but with a different destination. Ivan Persic has signed a five-year deal with Inter Milan to make the jump from playing in the Bundesliga to the Serie A.

The value of the contract is estimated to be  £14.5m. It puts an end to a four-year period playin in the German league for both Borussia Dortmund and Wolfsburg. The Croatian player had 70 starts in that time and scored 18 goals. Inter Milan will be the seventh club he plays for in his carrer and he is only 26-years-old.

Wolfsburg announced the departure of a key-player

Perisic leaving Wolfsburg is considered to be the second high-profile exit from the club this summer after De Bruyne just left for Manchester City on a contract worth approximately £50 million. Perisic was thankful with his former club after the deal was finalized. 

"I had a good time in Wolfsburg and I would like to thank them for making my move to Italy possible," Perisic claimed in a statement publed on Wolfsburg's website.

Inter Milan is happy to receive a world-class striker

Perisic can play as either a striker or an attacking midfielder. Throughout his career, he has played 38 times for Croatia's national team and scored nine goals whole doing so. Wolfsburg is already looking to replace him with Julian Draxler from Schalke.

Inter Milan fans already welcomed their new star with open arm in Italy. The 26-year old footballer is ready to make a statement for himself in a world that is new for him but playing the sport he loves the most.
