Cuadrado only played 15 games with Chelsea since signing at the beginning of the year. Juventus will be his fourth Serie A team to play for.

Juan Cuadrado's first stint with Chelsea in the Premier League is over. The Colombian midfielder has been loaned to Juventus in Italy. Cuadrado joins the Serie A champions after he has already played for other three teams in Italian territory.

The 27-year-old did not enjoy a long term with Chelsea. He was transferred from Fiorentina to Juve on February second. Since then, he made 15 appearances for Jose Mourinho's team and only started in four of them. The highlights of his time with the London-based side were a Capital One Cup final and winning the Premier League title with Chelsea last season.

"This is part of the statement released by Chelsea confirming Cuadrado's departure"

"Juan Cuadrado has today joined Juventus on loan until the end of the season. The 27-year-old Colombian links up with the Italian champions having had previous experience in Serie A with Fiorentina, Lecce and Udinese."

Cuadrado participated with his team in the past Copa America where Colombia did not fulfill the expectations set on a team featuring James Rodriguez, Radamel Falcao and himself. This season he had barely played 27 minutes in one game.

Most of Cuadrado's success came with Fiorentina, the last side that he played for before moving to England earlier this year. In 17 games with them last season, he scored four goals.  With Fiorentina he played a total of 106 games, scoring 26 goals and delivering 21 assists.

His move to Juventus is on a one year loan until the end of the season. There is no word on if Juventus has the option to buy a player that had just gotten to England six months ago.

This is Juventus side of the story

"Juventus Football Club can today confirm that Juan Cuadrado has agreed terms on a season-long loan deal from English Premier League side Chelsea. The Colombian winger, 27, will now link up with his new team-mates in Vinovo ahead of this afternoon’s training session."

The UEFA Champions League runner-ups could definitely use someone like Cuadrado. They lost Arturo Vidal to the Bundesliga champions over the summer. While their characteristics are not quite the same, they have a similar experience level. Cuadrado may be looking forward to staying more than a year.
