According to reports, a move to England is still on the cards for the Barcelona striker, however, his destination will not be Old Trafford, as initially expected.

One day Barcelona forward Pedro agrees personal terms with Man United and is ready for a Manchester United switch, the next the deal has collapsed.

On Tuesday, reports broke that the Red Devils executive Ed Woodward was in Barcelona to complete the signing of the 28-year-old forward, with the player having lost his place in the Catalan giants' starting eleven due to the arrival of Neymar and Luis Suarez.

However, early Wednesday saw Sky Sports break news that the 20-time English Premier League champions ended all interest in Pedro, despite the Catalan giants reportedly being keen on offloading the Spaniard.

Furthermore, to add more spice to this shocking transfer revelation, Andy Mitten of Yahoo Sports UK claims that both the player and the English side were keen on each other, and all that was required to see the deal be completed was for United to meet the Blaugrana’s €30m buy out, a fee far within the club's spending limits.

This transfer update comes as a shock given the fact that Louis Van Gaal is yet to sign any forward, having let go of both Radamel Falcao and Robin van Persie, leaving Wayne Rooney as the team's only recognized senior striker.

Pedro, however, still appears to be headed for England. Rumors are now linking the striker with a move to London to join current champions Chelsea.

According to BBC, Pedro "is flying" to the capital to finalize a deal expected to be worth £21m.

HILARIOUS! Chelsea steal Pedro from Man United

The Blues, who are still in search of their 1st three points of the new season, saw legend Didier Drogba leave earlier this summer.

Diego Costa is expected to spearhead Chelsea's attack this campaign, but Jose Mourinho's crew have Loic Remy and Radamel Falcao as back up, two strikers who are yet to show their goalscoring abilities for England’s elite.
