Angel di Maria is one step closer to signing with Paris Saint-Germain. The Argentinian midfielder finally underwent the medical exams that were originally scheduled for Monday. The procedure took place in Doha on Tuesday. Once the results of those tests are out, Di Maria will most likely travel to Paris to meet with the rest of his team.

United agreed a €63m (£44.3m) fee with the French reigning champions. Di Maria will join his Argentinian friend Javier Pastore, who is looking forward to having him on his team. El Fideo only lasted one season with the Red Devils and is expected to be presented with his new team by the end of this week. 

In June, Di Maria claimed he wanted to stay with United, but after the Copa America, the midfielder did not return to England. He spent the end of his vacations in Argentina and then flew straight to Doha, where he met with the owners of Paris Sain Germain. 

After PSG finished its U.S. Tour as part of the International Champions Cup, their manager Laurent Blanc claimed his team was close to sealing a deal with Manchester United. The player has apparently accepted a four-year deal with the French side. With Man United, he had signed a four-year deal.
