Wolfsburg and Bayern Munich will battle it out for the DFL-Supercup on Saturday, August 1st at the Volkswagen Arena. Here are some live TV listings & online streaming options for Wolfsburg vs. Bayern Munich.

Since its official re-start in 2010, the DFL-Supercup has only had three winners. Not surprisingly, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund have won four out of the past five competitions, whilst Schalke attempted to break that duopoly by winning it in 2011. Like in many leagues, including Serie A and Ligue 1, the Bundesliga's Supercup is generally contested between the winner of the league and whoever wins the domestic cup. In the event that both titles are won by one team, then it will be decided among the top two sides in that league.

In the sixth edition since its re-emergence five seasons ago, Wolfsburg will now have a chance to join Schalke as the only other team to win this trophy. Meanwhile, Bayern will be keen on earning their first title of the season after losing to Dortmund 2-0 last time around. There will also be a bit of extra motivation for die Roten to defeat Wolfsburg as they were the first side to not just defeat the reigning Bundesliga champions in domestic play at the start of this year, but also scored four against them in a 4-1 shocking loss for Pep Guardiola's side.

Overall, Dortmund are currently the team with the most wins in this competition, with die Schwarzgelben having lifted the trophy five times - six if one counts the 2008 "unofficial" event. Naturally, Bayern are just on their tails with four victories and will obviously want to make it five on Saturday evening. The reigning Bundesliga champions have had a mixed summer so far. First, they finished dead last in the Telekom Cup after being beaten by Augsburg in the semi-final and by Borussia Mönchengladbach during a shoot-out in the third-placed game.

They fared better in their Audi Summer tour in China, thrashing Valencia 4-1 and grinding out a 1-0 win over Inter, but failed to get the better of Chinese powerhouse Guangzhou Evergrande as the hosts defeated them 5-4 on penalties. Following this event, they will next face off against AC Milan and Tottenham during the Audi Cup before kicking off their Bundesliga title defense on August 14th.

Meanwhile, Wolfsburg coach Dieter Hecking has not enjoyed a good pre-season with his squad. Out of their last five fixtures, the Bundesliga runners-up have only won one - a 4-2 result against FC Zurich. They endured frustration against Villarreal and Arsenal in the Emirates Cup, losing both matches. And to make matters worse, several key players could miss out due to injuries and other issues, including attacking options Bas Dost, Aaron Hunt, and Kevin De Bruyne, who has been linked with a return to the Premier League as well as Ivan Perisic, whose future also appears in doubt due to strong interest from Inter.

Guardiola also has his own injuries to worry about, despite the return of Arjen Robben after his recovery from yet another injury. Dante and Javi Martinez will not likely take part in the match, and Holger Badstuber's unfortunate luck looks set to continue as he will be spending more time on the treatment table. Franck Ribery is yet another big player who is still working his way back to full fitness. However, new signing Arturo Vidal could make his debut after completing his move from Serie A champions Juventus earlier this week.

Will Wolfsburg derail Bayern's quest to make it a fifth DFL Supercup trophy? Or will die Roten kick off what is expected to be another successful domestic season with a win on Saturday evening?
