Former Real Madrid star Di Maria was excluded from Man United's International Champions Cup match against PSG which ended in a 2-0 defeat for the Red Devils.
Earlier on, PSG coach Laurent Blanc declared in a press conference that the two club's "are close to the end" with negotiations for the transfer of the Argentine winger. However, Dutch manager Louis van Gaal prefered to discard giving any sort of detail. He was quoted as saying:
"I'm not Laurent Blanc. I don't want to answer such questions. At Manchester United, we announce things when they are done and when not they are not done because it's a process.
On top of that, the outspoken manager claimed he has no idea concerning the whereabouts of the club's number 7 shirt bearer.
"I don't know where he [Angel di Maria] is," he declared.
"You can ask it every week, but I don't answer that question. Maybe you know? I don't know.
