The USMNT has a ten-game undefeated streak in Gold Cup games including the 2013 edition. Jamaica has never played in a Gold Cup final.

The first finalist of the 2015 Gold Cup will emerge from the game between United States and Jamaica in Atlanta, Georgia. Jurgen Klinsmann still aims to win his second Gold Cup his second time around. Jamaica will not be an easy opponent as the Reggae Boyz want to earn their first trip to a Gold Cup final.

The USMNT suffered a lot to get its three wins in the group stage round and there were many doubts about the team early in the competition. When they faced Cuba in the quarter-finals, they seem to have regained some lost trust in themselves by beating them 6-0. The score included a hat-trick from Clint Dempsey, who is now the top goalscorer of the tournament with six.

Klinsmann is undefeated in Gold Cup games even counting what happened in 2013. In 10 games, they have been almost perfect, with only a draw against Panama in the third game of the group stage, leaving a small stain in Klinsmann's record.

His decision to call veterans has not been working as exactly as many people wished, but his team is still alive and kicking. With Costa Rica already out of the way, the U.S. hopes to make it to its 11th final and tie Mexico's record of six Gold Cup championships. Dempsey will have to continue his hot streak against a team that is coming in hot. Captain Michael Bradley has been working under the radar, this is a good chance for him to redeem himself and help his team get past Jamaica.

Jamaica's defense has been solid this tournament. They have only allowed two goals so far and those came in the first game against Costa Rica. Since then, the team has kept three clean sheets against Canada, El Salvador and Haiti, while winning all three games with just one goal scored.

Winfred Schäfer has been able to make his team look as solid as it did in the Copa America. When others did not have high expectations of them, they have proven to be a force that could deliver a big surprise. Their highly physical football has made them a team that can scare even the toughest opponents.

They came out after the first round in their Copa America debut leaving really good impressions. While Mexico had different teams for both tournaments, Jamaica has played both with the same men. In the Gold Cup they got past the group stage in front of Costa Rica. This is the third time they reach the semis.

Darren Mattocks and Giles Barnes are Jamaica's most powerful players and those that the USMNT defense must keep a close eye on. Jobi McAnuff could be the man that creates most of the chances for a team that has beaten the U.S. eight times out of the 22 they have faced off. Klinsmann's team has 13 wins against Jamaica.
