Madrid is preparing for a game against Manchester City after losing to AS Roma. Bale is expected to play against the Citizens.

It was not the most common of practice sessions for Real Madrid as they prepare to face Manchester City as part of their International Champions Cup schedule. Gareth Bale did not even show up, Ronaldo excused himself from the group but not before playing with Pepe for a little bit.

Bale was sent to the gym to workout this Monday in Melbourne, Australia. The Welshman suffered a hip strain either on Saturday in the game they lost against AS Roma or in the following practice. The most expensive signing of Los Merengues had to leave Sunday practice early with that same problem. 

Bale did not join practice as a precaution 

Cristiano Ronaldo also caught the eye of reporters during practice as he decided to leave the group halfway through practice so he could train on individual drills on his own. CR7 left the training match to talk with Rafa Benitez and then head to work with Lucas Silva on something else. Those that travel with the team, consider it is not normal to see Ronaldo bail out of group practice like he did on Monday. 

Before he left, the Portuguese star spent some time trying to get back to Pepe, who last week left Ronaldo on the ground. The Portuguese players were seen fooling around during a stretching session with the Pichichi winner visibly winning in a small "fight" they got into.

In other news, Real Madrid's latest signing, Kiko Casilla arrived at Australia to meet with the rest of the team. The Spanish goalkeeper will now have to fight for the starting position against Keylor Navas while the mystery of David de Gea and his possible incorporation to Los Merengues is resolved.
