With Costa Rica starting the tournament as the best ranked team in the region, Los Ticos will try to win Group B against Jamaica, El Salvador and the Canadian side.

Group B of the CONCACAF Gold Cup will watch one of the favorite sides to win the tournament making their way into the knockout stages. After a historic run in the 2014 World Cup, Costa Rica will try to prove their performance in Brazil was not just a lucky one, as coach Paulo Wanchope tries to put together a team that can emulate what Los Ticos did in 2014. Trying to stop the Costa Ricans will be Jamaica, a team that left a good impression in their first Copa América outing, El Salvador, one of the toughest teams in Central America, and Canada, who will try to repeat their success story from the year 2000. This group's matches will be held in the cities of Los Angeles, Houston and Toronto.

Costa Rica

The favorite to win the Group. Los Ticos will work with the base of their historic World Cup performance from last year, but they will be missing one key player: goalkeeper Keylor Navas. Without Real Madrid's shot-stopper,coach Wanchope will have to start either Esteban Alvarado, Dany Carvajal or Patrick Pemberton. Captain Bryan Ruiz, Celso Borges and Alvaro Saborio will add their experience to the mix, while striker Joel Campbell tries to prove once and for all why he's believed to be one of Costa Rica's future talents.

Costa Rica's Gold Cup roster

Goalkeepers: Dany Carvajal, Esteban Alvarado, Patrick Pemberton.

Defenders: Christian Gamboa, Keyner Brown, Francisco Calvo, Junior Diaz , Giancarlo Gonzalez, Roy Miller,  Dave Myrie, Michael Umaña.

Midfielders: Deyver Vega, Johan Venegas, David Guzman, Bryan Ruiz , Elias Aguilar, Marvin Angulo, Celso Borges, Jose Miguel Cubero.

Strikers: Alvaro Saborio, Joel Campbell, Jonathan McDonald, David Ramirez.

Bryan Ruiz (middle), will be the go-to guy for Costa Rica in this tournament.

Jamaica

After a satisfying run in their first-ever Copa América, the Reggae Boyz get to this tournament with high hopes to make an impression in their region's tournament. Even though Jamaica did not win one point in the South American tournament, their performance against Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay left proof of their top defensive skills, led by Adrian Mariappa and Jermaine Taylor. With coach Wilfred Schafer at the helm, Jamaica will try to repeat at least their best performance in the Gold Cup, which saw them finish fourth in 1993 and 1998.

Jamaica's Gold Cup roster

Goalkeepers: Dwayne Miller, Ryan Thompson, Andre Blake.

Defenders: Lance Laing, Michael Hector, Adrian Mariappa, Kemar Lawrence, Wes Morgan, Demar Phillips, Alvas Powell, Jermaine Taylor.

Forward Darren Mattocks, one of Jamaica's most experienced players in the tournament.

Canada

Les Rouges enter this competition with nothing to lose, after qualifying as a co-host to the United States. Coached by former Real Madrid boss Benito Floro, the Canadian team enters the competition in high spirits after making it to the third round of the World Cup Qualifiers by blasting Dominica last month. Floro's biggest threat for the teams in this group will be Maxim Tissot, who had a wonderful year with Montreal Impact, reaching the CONCACAF Champions League final. With veteran Julian de Guzmán and Marcel De Jong rounding up the squad, Canada will try to repeat their 2000 performance, when they won the tournament against all odds.

Canada's Gold Cup roster

Goalkeepers:Lars Hirschfeld, Quillan Roberts, Kenny Stamatopoulos.

Defenders: Karl Ouimette, Dejan Jankovic, Adam Straith, Andre Hainault, Nikolas Ledgerwood, Ashtone Morgan.

El Salvador

Coach Albert Roca will try to repeat the team's performance in the most recent Gold Cup, where Los Cuscatlecos were eliminated by the United States in the Quarter-Final stage.  Following their fourth-place finish in the Central American Cup last year, Roca will try to build his squad with players from local club FAS , with striker Rafael Burgos leading the pack. La Selecta will be one of th toughest teams to beat in the tournament, since their playing style is based more on force than talent.

El Salvador's Gold Cup roster

Goalkeepers: Luis Contreras, Oscar Arroyo, Derby Carrillo.

Defenders: Moisés García, Milton Molina, Danny Torres, Henry Romero, Alexander Larín, Alexander Mendoza.

Midfielders: William Maldonado, Dustin Corea, Pablo Punyed, Narciso Orellana, Raúl Renderos, Richard Menjivar, Darwin Ceren, Jairo Henriquez, Jaime Alas, Arturo Alvarez, Andrés Flores.

Strikers: Rafael Burgos, Nelson Bonilla, Irvin Herrera.
