Senegal is playing its first U20 World Cup. Brazil has not conceded a goal in 412 minutes.

Brazil and Senegal meet while being one step away from the final game of the FIFA U20 World Cup. A team with a rich soccer history faces another squad that is just making its debut in a World Cup. While Brazil aims for a sixth star in this tournament, Senegal will try to shock the world at Christchurch to make it to Auckland.

Brazil is the team with the most championships and knows how important these games are not only to advance but also to boost some confidence going into the final game. Their defense has been superb after not allowing a single goal in the last 412 minutes of the tournament.

It was Hungary the team to last beat Brazil's goalkeeper in the eighth minute of their second group stage game. After that goal, Brazil has scored five goals in regular time and eight in penalty shootouts. As that may seem as a good number of goals, they have had 110 shots on goal since the tournament began.

That is by far the biggest number of shots on goal by any team in the tournament. That does not mean their road to this semifinal game has been easy. They have had to rely on penalty kicks to knock out Uruguay and Portugal in the Round of 16 and the Quarter Finals respectively.

On the other side, Senegal is living a dream and their players and staff may not want to wake up from it. They have knocked out Ukraine and Uzbekistan in their way to this game and know that Brazil is their biggest test yet.

22 years have gone by for a team that is making its debut in the competition to make it this far. They are one of two African teams that have made it this far this year. Ibrahima Sy has been recognized as one of the best goalkeepers in the competition, stopping three shots from the penalty spot so far.

Most of the chances for Senegal to advance are in the feet of Joseph Koto, the leading scorer for this team that will try and imitate what Ghana did in 1993 in Australia. Will the rookie of the tournament steal the show or can Brazil make good use of their experience to keep moving on?
