Having lost two precious points on match-day one of La Liga, Real Madrid need to bounce back against Osasuna on Saturday.

Real Madrid's Pedro Leon pictured during training.Real Madrid vs Osasuna will mark Los Blancos’ first home game of the season, and Pedro Leon is eager to help his side start well at the Santiago Bernabeu. Speaking to the club’s sponsor Bwin, the midfielder affirmed:

“We’ll have to play well, and as a tight knit group. In this way, we’ll have a chance to win. It’s not going to be easy, though. I’m sure it will be a difficult match. Yes, Osasuna drew their first match, but they are a battle-hardened team and they’ll pressure a lot. I’m sure they will trouble us.”

Real Madrid immediately need to get a result if they want to avoid playing catch-up with rivals Barcelona. A part of football’s public already fears or anticipates that the Spanish giants will struggle all the same to win La Liga title since the Catalans appear too strong to challenge.

However, Pedro Leon insists that it will do Real Madrid no good to focus on issues happening away from the Santiago Bernabeu. Los Blancos’ official website quoted him as saying:

“We can’t be paying attention to what Barcelona or any other team does. We have to focus on ourselves. Knowing that we are in a good shape, we don’t need to care who we play against. We just hope that we will do in our next match as well as in all those that will follow.”
